Toddlerhood presents its own developmental needs and characteristics. Good planning relies most strongly on understanding where the children are now and building on that.
Our goals include:
· Building trust between teacher and child and among other children
· Maintaining a sense of security and safety
· Allowing and encouraging an expression of feelings, ideas, and emotions
· Learning to respect each other’s feelings and work
· Encouraging their sense of wonder and delight in exploring the world around them
· Introducing to the children, in a developmentally appropriate way, the joys and customs of the Jewish faith
Current Schedule:
· Greet children
· Free Play
· Cleanup
· Snack (Gan Hayeled is a peanut-free school)
· Music/Movement and Group Story
· Outdoor Play
· Closing
Prior to the commencement of school, a teacher will make arrangements for an individual visit to the classroom. We feel this is a comfortable way for your child to meet his/her teachers and become familiar with the classroom without the anxiety and distraction of the first day of school. Parent–teacher conferences are held twice during the school year.
